PINE GROVE AT GOODDALE PARK CLOSED
At the January 6, 2009 Board of Parks Commissioners meeting, it was voted that the Pine Grove be closed until further notice. The vote was taken to ensure that the Public and the Town are protected from the dangerous situation which currently exists at the Pine Grove, i.e. falling branches, trees. No Trespassing signs have been posted. Pine Grove is off limits as well as the pool area.
MIDNIGHT PARKING BAN
The Midnight Parking Ban is now in effect. There is no parking on Town streets from midnight to 5 a.m. each day. The parking ban is also in effect whenever parking on the streets would hamper snow removal efforts.
SCHOOL SAFETY
During the school year, Police vehicles will be monitoring the school zones, randomly following bus routes and patroling bus locations. Officers will continue to conduct numerous, random ''walk throughs'' of the school as well. Detective Tavano, the School Liaison, will monitor school activities, investigating all reports of crime as well as other activities that may tend to be disruptive.
